Ceremonia guides

Preparation for a retreat

Preparation creates room to make informed choices, ask questions, and arrange the support you need.

Begin with safety

Share your health history and medications honestly during screening. Ask your prescriber and the retreat team about interactions and your circumstances. Never stop or change a prescription on your own. Read our medication guidance and screening overview.

Choose an intention you can hold lightly

An intention is a direction for attention, not a demand for a particular experience. You might ask, “Can I be curious about how I respond to uncertainty?” Write it down, then leave room for an unexpected day. Tell a facilitator what support helps you feel comfortable and what you would rather avoid.

Make the practical arrangements

Review the schedule and packing instructions, arrange travel and time to rest, and identify someone you can contact afterward. Ask about accessibility, touch, privacy, and how to request a break. You can ask questions or change your mind; participation is a choice.

Plan for the days after

Reserve time for ordinary meals, sleep, and a conversation with a trusted person. Write down any existing care appointments. Our integration guide offers ways to revisit an experience without rushing to explain it.
